As part of our strong, ongoing commitment to America's military, the Home Depot is proud to announce a special one-day event across the nation: Mission:Transition.

On October 27, 2012 — selected The Home Depot stores across the nation will host these workshops. Unlike a job fair, these Civilian Career Workshops focus on helping service members and veterans transition successfully into the workforce in any industry.

With service at the center of The Home Depot's core values, it is proud to arm service men and women with knowledge and resources to navigate a successful transition into a meaningful career. It is The Home Depot's goal to serve the military community.

"Members of the United States military are great assets to America's workforce, yet the outstanding skills they possess can be difficult to translate during the application or interview process," said Tim Crow, The Home Depot EVP — Human Resources. " Through Mission: Transition, we want to help service men and women highlight their unique skills to successfully pursue opportunities with any employer, not just The Home Depot."

Register today to participate in the event and hear directly from hiring managers, human resources professionals and former military leaders currently working at The Home Depot.

Attendees will learn:

  • Resume Optimization
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Interview Techniques
Space is limited. Register today at www.HomeDepotMilitary.com.

All workshops will take place on October 27, 2012
